Who Am I
This isn't a résumé. It's the short version of who I am and why I do what I do.
I'm Ranjan Dasgupta, and I've spent the last nine-plus years building the infrastructure that makes programmatic advertising work: real-time bidding, unified auctions, exchange architecture, and monetization at scale. At Glance I was part of the team that scaled revenue to $200M+ across Web, App, and CTV. Today I lead Web & CTV Exchange product strategy at InMobi. Before that, I was at Automatad and at Google on DoubleClick, DFP, AdX, and AdSense.
What I actually do
I sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and business. I design how ad requests flow, how demand and supply get matched, how floors and timeouts behave, and how publishers and platforms make money without burning user trust. That means programmatic advertising in the broad sense: OpenRTB, header bidding, supply path optimization, yield management, and the shift to first-price and unified auctions.
Why it matters
Advertising pays for the open web and for most of the content we consume. When it's done right, it's sustainable, measurable, and respectful. When it's broken, we get bad UX, wasted spend, and a race to the bottom. Ranjan Dasgupta is committed to the former: building systems that scale revenue and performance without sacrificing transparency or control.
